I grew up watching old movies, reading science fiction paperbacks and comic books. After graduating from The High School of Music & Art in New York City, I attended The School of Visual Arts on full scholarship and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

My Approach

Many designers and illustrators are pushed to find a look or style as soon as they begin their careers as creative people. At least that is how it was when I was in art school. The result, in my opinion, is not only creative burnout, but also general career dissatisfaction for many artists. So I stepped away from the single path art career and became a creative generalist, which has been a great decision for me. I get to work with many different clients, on a variety of projects. I’ve done illustration and design work for books and advertising, exhibit graphics for museums, created branded identities and collateral for businesses and cartoons for greeting cards.

My work draws on my life-long love of film, comics, vintage advertising and illustration. I live by the ocean in Eastern Connecticut, where it feels like one is in communion with the past, present and future of life.
